Decartive firmly believes in giving back to the environment, which is why, along with planting trees, Decartive's upholstery is luxuriously handcrafted using furniture grade, Canadian maple wood. Due to its short growing period, it is made possible to harvest the wood without damaging the forests. Along with its durable capabilities, furniture grade Canadian maple wood is also a more environmentally friendly option. Decartive also uses Canadian foam.
General Care
Take general precautions towards unusual environments. We recommend avoiding exposure to direct sunlight, heat or humidity to prevent fading and cracking. Please be aware that heavily dyed fabric can transfer to your furniture and cause discoloration.
Color may vary from dye lot to dye lot and pattern placement varies on upholstery.
Because dust and dirt cause fabric to wear faster, we recommend vacuuming regularly with an upholstery.
An annual professional cleaning will keep your upholstered furniture looking best.
Maintenance requires promptly treating spots and stains and should include routine, on-going care which reduces soil build-up on a fabric’s surface
Do not rub or brush excessively or you may cause fuzzing.
Fabric Content/ Care Instructions
Use the suggested cleaning methods for each fabric at your own discretion. Always pretest on a small area before proceeding.
W-Water Based Cleaning:
Spot clean using the foam only from a water-based cleaning agent such as a mild detergent or non-solvent upholstery shampoo product. Apply foam with a soft brush in a circular motion. Vacuum when dry.
S-Solvent Cleaning:
Spot clean using mild water-free solvent or dry cleaning product. Clean only in a well ventilated room and avoid any product containing Carbon Tetrachloride or other toxic materials.
WS-Water/Solvent Cleaning:
Spot clean with a mild solvent, an upholstery shampoo or the foam from a mild detergent. When using a solvent or dry cleaning product, follow the instructions carefully and clean only in a well ventilated room. Avoid any product that contains Carbon Tetrachloride or other toxic materials.
